It's October and therefore Hallowe'en season so it's the perfect time for My Hallowe'en Heartbreak by Melanie Ting! Nothing spooky here though--it's a contemporary rom-com as part of Melanie's Holiday Hat Trick series (which I'm loving!). It's got:

One of the things I really love about this book is that it's unabashedly Canadian--it's set in Ottawa, there's hockey, and it's got a killer playlist of Canadian indie rock songs (all the chapter titles are real song titles!). It's always so much fun to work with Mel and lean into our Canadianness!
