Elizabeth loves her independent lifestyle as an artist living in the historic dune shacks in Provincetown. When the tenants are threatened with the loss of shacks, they band together and choose Elizabeth as their leader, who brings in pro bono lawyers to fight for them.
One of those lawyers is Will Darcy, who is not about to let anything stand in the way of making partner—not a virtually unwinnable case, and definitely not the beautiful spokesperson for the group of said unwinnable case who definitely overheard him insulting her. (Oops.)
Once these initial misunderstandings are cleared up, Will and Elizabeth have more problems: the ethical attorney-client dilemma, and their own hang-ups and ambitions. How can they be together when the case is stacked against them?
