This is a Pride and Prejudice variation in which Mr. Collins comes to Longbourn, is his usually obnoxious self, and proposes to Elizabeth--but with a huge twist in his character. The olive branch that he offers to the Bennets comes with conditions that Elizabeth cannot refuse, even if she finds Mr. Collins even worse than in canon. With the help of Mr. Darcy, however, she searches for a way to save her reputation and her family and herself from a horrible marriage.
